Sandra J. Schneider , age 65 of Rock City, IL, passed away at home on Saturday, July 17, 2021. She was born March 6, 1956; the daughter of Norman and Jean (Packard) Schneider. She was a graduate of Freeport High School and went on to the University of Madison. Sandra met Vernon Collin in 1981. They have been together ever since.

She worked for Anchor Harvey for 31 years and at Excel Gear for 10 years. Sandra enjoyed tending to her flower garden. Most of all she loved being a grandma. She made many outfits, dresses and blankets for her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her companion, Vernon Collin of Rock City; son, Kyle (Michelle Magee) Collin of Freeport; grandchildren, Maycee, Maggie, and Kael; brother, Brian (Carol) Schneider of Martinton, IL; and several special friends in Rock City. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Schneider.

The funeral service will be on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
