Scott, a loving husband, father, and friend left this earthly home to be with Jesus on August 8th, 2024, after fighting a tough battle with cancer.  Scott was a man who loved God deeply, a devoted husband, father and friend. Scott loved his family with all his heart. His love was evident in everything he did, from the small everyday moments to the grand gestures that showed just how much he cared.

Scott's love and care extended beyond his immediate family. He embraced everyone with open arms, making everyone feel special and valued. Whether it was a word of advice, a helping hand, or just being there to listen. Scott had a way of making you feel like you mattered. He was a steady presence, someone we could all count on.

Scott's legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who were fortunate enough to know him.

Scott is preceded in death by his Mother, Barbara G. Lutz, Father Raymond Lutz, Brother, Larry Lutz, and Sisters Carolyn Lutz and Louella Lutz.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara L. Lutz, his children, Toby Lutz (Kaite), Renee Inman (Erin), and Skylar Reynolds (Michael), Grandchildren, Jacob, Eden, Addison, Alex, Bella, Gaige, Keira, Tatum, and one great grandchild, June.   Brother, Clinton Lutz (Debra), sister Lolly Carrithers.  Along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at First Free Methodist Church in Freeport, IL. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
