Freeport

Scott E. Simmons, 52, of Freeport, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at his home with his family by his side.

Born August 23, 1962 in Freeport he was the son of Dale W. and Ruth (Rhodes) Simmons. He married Keely Davis March 4, 2005.

Scott worked for C.L. Swanson for over 24 years.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and going fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Keely of Freeport, who very tenderly and lovingly took care of Scott during his illness.; also surviving is his mother, Ruth (William) Fosler of Freeport; 2 sons, Steven (Morgan) Simmons of Davis, and Thomas Simmons of Freeport; his step-sons, Dalen and Max Jarosz both of Freeport;

his sister, Barbara (Dennis) Ceroni of Orangeville; his brothers, Gary (Crystal) Simmons of Freeport, John (Rosita) Simmons of Las Vegas, and his twin brother, Todd (Becky) Simmons of Lena; 3 grandchildren, Saige and Steven Simmons, and Travis Simmons; numerous nieces and nephews including his special nephew, Matthew Beightol of Freeport.

He was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Susan Simmons; his brothers, Dale Simmons and Dave Simmons; and his niece, Tammy Ceroni.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in the Chapel of Peace, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday June 1, 2015 at Walker Mortuary.

A memorial has been established in his name.
