Selma L. Kolthoff, 87, of Freeport, died Sunday, September 7, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born December 29, 1920 in Stephenson County she was the daughter of William and Mabel (Miller) Hillman. She married Clarence Kolthoff in 1938 and he died in 1977.
She worked for ElKay Manufacturing for 15 years.
Surviving are her children, Gloria (Eugene) Heitz of Freeport, Bob (Carol) Kolthoff of Machesney Park, Susan Getzendaner of Freeport, Randall "Randy" (Barb) Kolthoff of Lanark; her sister, Mildred Kolthoff of Rockford; 8 grandchildren, Rick (Jackie) Kolthoff, Chris ( Don) Apgar, Dora (Bobby) Brasher, Dana (Chuck) Myers, Dawn (Greg) Smith, DeAnn (Don) Knhisen, Donald Kolthoff, Melissa (Dallas) Mock; 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Elsie Mae; (infant)sister, Betty Hoffman; 3 brothers, Ralph Hillman, Edward Hillman, and Kenny Hillman.
Funeral service and burial will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday 10 a.m. until time of service at the Chapel of Peace.
