O rangeville – Shawn Peterson, 29 of Orangeville passed away at home with his family surrounding him on December 14 ^th .  He was born on May 10, 1991 in Monroe, Wisconsin to Rodney and Tami (Richardson) Peterson.  He graduated from Orangeville High School in 2009.  He then went onto UW Platteville where he attained his bachelor's degree in business. He was employed as a Supply Chain Manager for Case New Holland in Racine, WI.

He enjoyed playing Football and Basketball in high school.  He also loved watching movies and was interested in electronics. He was a laid back and easy going guy with a quiet sense of humor.  He was close to his friends and family and he was known for his friendly smile and gentle soul. Shawn was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and the Wisconsin Badgers.

He is survived by his parents and his brother, Joe (Alyssa) Peterson all of Orangeville and his grandmother, Sharon Richardson (Dewey Gerdes) of Freeport.  He has 2 nieces and 1 nephew as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal Grandpa and Grandma, Gale and Maryls Peterson and his maternal Grandfather, Maurie Richardson.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, December 19 ^th at 10:30am and a service at 12:00pm all at Walker Mortuary in Freeport, IL.  Please be respectful of the family and other guests by wearing a mask and please practice social distancing whenever possible during the visitation and service. Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial fund has been established in his name for FHN Hospice as well as the ALS Foundation.
