Shirley E. Bowers, 88, of Lanark, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her home.
She was born June 12, 1926 in Rockford. She married Harry Bowers November 30, 1944 and he preceded her death on December 26, 2012.
Surviving are her children, Pamela (Cris) Wooden of Kingston, Oklahoma; and Michael Ray Bowers of Streamwood; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; and one stepbrother.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Private, family only, services and interment of her cremated remains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
