Davis – Shirley Rae Shelton, 75 of Davis, IL, passed away unexpectedly at OSF St. Anthony's on November 22, 2021. She was born on March 17, 1946, in Monroe, WI to the late Frank and Marie (Egli) Jones. She married her late husband Gary Shelton in 1962, and together they raised a family until his death in 1973. She later met Jerry Keister, and they have been companions for the past 34 years.

Shirley was an avid bowler and card player. She loved to travel, play the slots, and bartend in Davis. She loved her dogs, Skip and the late Bingo.

She is survived by her companion, Jerry Keister of Davis; her son, Randy (Rose) Shelton of Brodhead, WI; brothers, Roger (Marie) Jones of Davis, and Larry Shelton of Freemont, IN; sisters, Betty (Marley) Drewlow of Rock Grove, IL, and Connie (Doyle) Ross and Audrey (Don) Rinehart of Freemont, IN; sister-in-law, Sharon Hastings of Freeport; grandchildren, Tegan (Savannah) Slone of WA; Zachary (Cortney) Shelton of Evansville, WI; and Hayley Shelton of Madison, WI; Luther, Lauren, and Liselle Ruhl of Scottsdale, AZ; and great-grandchild, Oliver Slone of WA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Gary Shelton; parents, Frank and Marie Jones; sisters, Nancy Mills and Delores Jones; and brother, Bob Shelton.
