Stana Ana Hambley, 92, of Davis, died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center in Rockford.
Born October 31, 1923 in Dixon she was the daughter of Emil and Stana (Sankovich) Absher. She married Llewellyn Hambley August 10, 1946 and he died April 1, 2004.
Her memberships include Faith Community Church in Davis, member and past president Cedarville Women's Club, 4 H, Durand Bowling League, Rockford Rescue Mission and Neighborhood 500 Card Club for many years.
Stana was an avid fisherman and "green thumb" gardener.
Surviving are her children, Myrtle "Millie" (Joseph) Fiorenza of Rockford, Rose (Randy) Shelton of Brodhead, Wisconsin, Robert (Judy) Hambley of Dixon, Gordon (Becky) Hambley of Brodhead, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; 4 sisters-in-law, Myrtle and Grace of Philomath, OR, Isabelle of McConnell, Betty of Freeport and 1 brother-in-law, Paul Hambley of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her son, Ted; 3 grandchildren; 5 sisters-in-law and 7 brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at Davis Community Church. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service at the Community Church in Davis on Monday, July 18, 2016.
Memorials have been established for Alzheimer Association and the Hospice of your choice.
