Stanley S. Whitehead, 80, of Freeport, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Born October 13, 1933 in Juda, Wisconsin he was the son of Maurice and Anna (Clark) Whitehead. He married Shirley Wagenknecht June 29, 1958.
Stanley worked for Structo Manufacturing until his retirement in 1997.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles in Freeport.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Freeport; his daughter, Elaine (Philip) Miller of Janesville, Wisconsin; his sons, Wayne (Dawn) Whitehead of Speer, Illinois, Steven (Laurie) Whitehead of Freeport, and Mark Whitehead of Edgerton, Wisconsin; his brother, Milo (Barbara) Whitehead of Monroe, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his sister-in-laws, Lorraine Whitehead of Monroe, Wisconsin and Mary Ann Whitehead of Janesville, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dale; two brothers, Wendell and Rodney; his sister, Clara Waelti; one grandson, Jason Miller; one infant granddaughter; and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at Walker Mortuary.
