Freeport – Steve A. Babcock, 67 of Freeport passed away at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI on Saturday, January 29, 2022.  He was born on June 16, 1954 in Freeport to the late Edward and Phyllis (Ruttman) Babcock.

Steve was a computer buff, avid sports fan and he loved to go fishing.  He enjoyed Old Rock n Roll and Country music.

He is survived by his companion, Sandra Gray of Freeport and his sisters, Linda Rimington, Susan (Dick) Huenefeld and Tina Huenefeld all of Freeport.  He also leaves behind a son, Branden Babcock; a daughter, Jena Babcock and a step-son Casey Shockey all of California as well as many nieces and nephews. His beloved dog, Vinnie already misses him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother=in-law, Ted Huenefeld.  Cremation rites have been accorded and there is a memorial established in his name.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
