Steven K. Randall, 61, of Rockford, formerly of Freeport, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at his home.
Born August 15, 1950 in Vandalia he was the son of Glenn and Barbara (Austin) Randall.
Steven was a 1968 graduate of Freeport High School. He graduated from Southern Illinois University where he attended on a baseball scholarship. Steve pitched in the College World Series.
He was a lifetime sports fan. Steve umpired and refereed for multiple sports all over the state. Teaching young people was one of his greatest joys.
He owned and operated Steve's Window Cleaning and also did substitute teaching in the Freeport area.
Surviving are his mother, Barbara of Freeport; 2 sisters, Candice (Ken Wallace) Horton of Kansas City, Missouri and Cristal Green of Iola, Wisconsin; 3 brothers, Kevin (Jan) Randall of Rockford, Randy Randall of Dawsonville, Georgia and Brian (Marlene) Randall of Freeport; 11 nieces & nephews; 15 great-nieces & great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no funeral service.
