Stuart F. Thornlund, 86, of Freeport, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at his home.
Born March 7, 1929 in Rockford, Illinois he was the son of Gus and Esther Thornlund.
He married Jean Winter Baker.
Stuart was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a machinist in the Rockford area.
Surviving are his wife. Jean of Freeport; stepdaughters Cynthia (Larry) Vondran of Rockton and Susan (Duane) Steele of Cedarville; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Bries of Madison, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of life will be 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Route 20 Bar and Grill, 2051 AYP road, Freeport.
