Susan Johnson, 54, of Winslow, died Thursday, June 16, 2011.
Born July 4, 1956 in Galesburg, she was the daughter of Howard and Bertha (Millett) Hook. She married Nathan W. Johnson October 9, 1979.
Susan was a graduate of Abingdon High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Illinois State University at Normal.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are her husband, Nathan of Winslow; 2 daughters, Natalie K. Johnson and Kara M. Johnson both of Winslow; 4 sons, Preston W. (Amy) Johnson of Davenport, Iowa, Seth A. (Katrina) Johnson of Winslow, Nolan P. (Danielle) Johnson of South Wayne, Wisconsin, and Evan W. Johnson of Mesa, Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 1 sister, Diane Shugart, of Abingdon; and 1 brother, Rodney (Rita) Hook of Abingdon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 sister, Pauline Tessier.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Freeport. Burial will be in the Lena Burial Park in Lena.
Visitation will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Freeport.
A memorial has been established.
