Sylvia R. Kauffman, 66, of Ridott, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at Medina Nursing Center in Durand.
Born August 10, 1946 in Freeport she was the daughter of Rex and Ruby (Richart) Alleman. She married Karl Kauffman September 19, 1964.
Sylvia and her husband owned and operated the Cedar Inn for 23 years. She worked for the local Girl Scouts of America for over 25 years.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose.
She is survived by her mother, Ruby Alleman of Freeport; her husband, Karl; her son, Todd (Jennifer) both of Ridott; 1 daughter, Laura Kauffman of Dakota; 1 brother, David Alleman of Freeport; 4 grandchildren, Alec, Hutson, Zack, and Zowie Kauffman..
She was preceded in death by her father; and 1 sister, Linda.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Walker Mortuary.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Walker Mortuary.
Burial will be in the Ridott Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
