Tammy L. Woodyatt-Wilson, age 58 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Monday, December 8, 2025. She was born January 21, 1967 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Donald and Karen (Rabe) Newill. Tammy married Jimmy Woodyatt in May of 1985; he passed away in 1996. She later married Roger Wilson on December 15, 2001.
Tammy owned and operated Doughnuts Delight in Freeport for several years. She was currently the head custodian for Freeport School District at the Early Childhood Center. She was also enrolled in Charis Bible College. She was an active member of the Beloved Church in Lena, IL. Tammy was also a former member of the Freeport Moose Lodge. She cherished her family and church, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Wilson; children, Anthony (Amber) Woodyatt, Amy Woodyatt-Wilson, and Steven (Taylor) Wilson; grandchildren, Kataclysn, Khaos, Khaleesi, Da'Mani, and a granddaughter on the way; brothers, Todd Newill and Troy (Tonya) Newill; sisters, Tana Gillette and Teresa (Tom) Dewey; brothers-in-law, Tracy (Heidi) Wing and Sam Woodyatt; sisters-in-law, Diane Thruman and Billie Kloepping; special friends, Sue & Wendy; and many loved nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, Jimmy; son, Dakota Woodyatt; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Betty Wing; and brother-in-law, Jeff Wing.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A memorial fund had been established in her name. Condolences may be shared with her family at www.walkermortuary.com.
