Terry L Pfeiffer, 66, passed away at home on October 26, 2023 in the arms of his wife Susan with his daughter Heather at his side. He was born on 9/2/1957 to Robert and Marjorie (Kohl) Pfeiffer. He married Susan M. Hille on 3/19/1983. He attended Freeport High School through 12th grade and worked for Danfoss through 2014.

He owned and operated The Original Pfeiffer's Engine Service from 1998 through 2014. He was an avid bowler in his 20's and 30's and loved to go bass fishing. Sue always loved watching him fish as he could make the bass dance on the water and it was a sight to see! He raced at Freeport Raceway and other area dirt tracks in his teens and 20's until the track closed. He returned to racing in the 1990's once the track reopened, running late models and then switching to the modified class. He won many trophy dashes, heat races and features over the years. If it had a motor he wanted to drive it or race it. He actually built a motorized bar stool in the early 2000's and broke seven ribs when he drove it. In recent years, he enjoyed golfing during the week with his wife and friends and had many a good time at the 19th hole. He served on the board of directors at Wolf Hollow Golf course and was always available to work on the course, the mowers, the golf carts, or anything that needed fixing. He was "Mr Fix It" and was always willing to help family or friends whenever needed.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, his daughter Heather (John) Casey, grandson, Arik L. Ryan, granddaughter, Raelyn H. Casey, brothers Timothy (Alexandra) Pfeiffer, Jamie (Mandy) Pfeiffer, sisters Jean (Mark) Meyers, Tina (Duane Plowman) Pfeiffer, Roberta (Patrick) Yates, brother in law, Gary (Suzanne) Hille, sisters in law, Jeri (Ray) Stichter, Jill Rouzan, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends, Dean Hofmaster and Arlen Busser whom he loved like brothers.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Bob and Marjorie, his father and mother in law, Don and Millie Hille, brothers in law, Terry Hille, Steven Hille, sisters in law Robyn Maves and Jan Thruman. Terry did not want a funeral but requested we have a celebration of life. Please join us on Sunday, November 5th at The Eagles Club, Freeport, IL from Noon to 4:00PM. A memorial fund has been established.
