Thelma J. Neberman, 90, of Freeport, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born October 8, 1921 in Ridott, she was the daughter of Roy and Grace (Shockey) Rumelhagen She married Earl Neberman September 12, 1947 and he died January 13, 1979.
Thelma worked at Burgess Battery, then as a Teacher's Aide for District 145, she was with the Stephenson County Circuit Clerk's office for 8 years, and was a manager in Freeport for Rockford Life Insurance Company.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Douglas) Martin of Lena; her sister, Lois Aurand of Freeport; 2 grandchildren, Angie Martin and Brandon Martin both of Lena; and 1 great grandchild, Jade Gabel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be a gathering from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. November 29, 2011 in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery.
Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace
Interment of her cremated remains will be in Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
A memorial has been established for St. John United Church of Christ.
