Freeport – Thomas E. Holbert, 69 of Freeport passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, August 1, 2022.  He was born on November 5, 1952 in Freeport to Clarence and Zoe (Stephenson) Holbert Jr.  He graduated High School and married Ginger Herrmann on November 11, 1978 and together they raised a family.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing the slots occasionally. He was an avid Packers and Cubs fan as well.  He truly enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports through the years.

He is survived by his wife, his mother and his children, Jessica (Patrick Smith) Holbert , Joel (Natasha) Holbert , Jocelyn Holbert all of Freeport and Timothy (Jessica) Holbert of Poplar Grove, IL. His legacy also includes 13 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father and his brother, Timothy Holbert.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug 5 ^th starting at 9am at Walker Mortuary. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10am.  His final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com .
