Thomas E. Ufken 44 of Bella Vista, Arkansas formerly of Rock City died Friday September 25, 2009 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born April 14, 1965 in Chicago he was the son of Eugene and Vaughn (Wilson) Ufken. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling. Surviving are his mother Vaughn (Mike VanderPal) Ufken of Loves Park formerly of Rock City; sister Brenda (Steve) Enderle of Rockford; niece Megan (Brian) Jaworowski of Rockford; nephew Steven Enderle of Rockford; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene.
A memorial service will be held Saturday October 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. for Vaughn and her son Thomas with the Rev. Debra Tinsley Taylor of Centennial United Methodist Church officiating at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. A gathering will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
Burial of cremated remains will take place in the Dakota Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in their names.
