Timothy Jay Cahill, 62, of Stockton, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born April 16, 1950 in Freeport he was the son of Raymond and Beryl (Knapp) Cahill.
Tim worked at various factories in the area and also for the Stockton Park District, but was best known for his ownership of the Red Dog Saloon in Stockton.
A 1968 graduate of Stockton High School he served in the U.S. Army from 1976 through 1978.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton.
Tim enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland, cards, gardening, and time spent with family and friends.
He will always be remembered for donating a kidney to his brother, John. This wonderful donation added 17 years to his brother's life.
Surviving are two sisters, Kristine Brunner of Stockton and Shirley (Nevin) McPherson of Oregon; one brother, James (Patricia) Cahill of Rockford; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Patrick; and his great nephew, Owen Cahill.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
The will be a memorial service.
