Tod M. Staska, 43, of German Valley, died Thursday, December 20, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born May 28, 1964 in Chicago, he was the son of Martin and Julie (Mackall) Staska. He married Linda Annette Ukena September 16, 1995.
There was nobody else like Tod. He had the courage of a lion and a very big heart for his fellowman. He could not stand but he could stand his ground. Tod had a very out going personality so naturally everyone loved him.
An artist, Tod was a scholarship holder for the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artist of the World. His work has been displayed through out the world including the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Surviving is his wife, Linda of German Valley, his parents of Freeport; one son, Joshua Ryan Staska at home in German Valley; one brother, Guy (Lisa) Staska of Dyer, Indiana; one nephew, Evan Staska in Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral service will be Thursday, December 27, 2007, 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Freeport with Reverend Dr. Willis R. Schwichtenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Tri County Christian School.
