Tonita (Toni) D. Mathenia, age 67 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born October 28, 1950; the daughter of the late Willard and Delores (Siepler) Wittbecker. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. Toni married Denny Asche and they had a son, Bradley. She later married James Mathenia on February 14, 1997.

Toni had worked as an executive administrative assistant at Economy Fire & Causality AKA St. Paul Insurance for 25 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved traveling with her husband. She was a good friend to many.

She is survived by her husband, James Mathenia of Freeport and son, Bradley (Toma) Asche of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Denny Asche; and sister, Sondra.
