Verla E. Kleckler, 93, of Freeport, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born February 26, 1915 in Monticello, Wisconsin she was the daughter of William and Sadie (Schaefer) Champion. She married Leroy R. Kleckler and he preceded her in death December 17, 1983.
Verla worked for Burgess Battery and Honeywell.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy L. Munda of Freeport, Pamela L. Feagan of Augusta, GA, and Karlene S. (Jeff) Huber of Apple Canyon Lake; 1 son, Terry (Vicki) Kleckler of Lena; 1 brother, Alan Champion of Freeport; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 1 brother.
Funeral service will be Thursday 1:30 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
