Verle K. Butts , age 78 of Freeport, IL passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at home. He was born in Lanark, IL on January 4, 1940 to the late Paul and Delma (Palmer) Butts. Verle married Sharon Ferguson Nath on April 20, 1984.

He retired from Kelly Springfield after 30 years of service. Verle enjoyed fishing, hunting and showing his dogs, who he adored.

Verle is survived by his wife, Sharon; his brother, Paul; four nephews; two nieces; one step son; four step daughters; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
