Vernon W. Kuhlemeier, Sr., 73, of Afolkey, died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born April 11, 1941 in Freeport he was the son of Vernon T. and Leona (Moss) Kuhlemeier. He married Sharon Janicke Cabot February 12, 1983. Vernon was a supervisor at Micro Switch for 38 years. He then operated out of his garage fixing automobiles and things for his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Sharon of Afolkey; children, Terry (Elizabeth) Cabot of Markesan, WI, Tina (John) Chamberlin of Freeport, Teresa Simmons of Freeport, Vernon W. (Sue) Kuhlemeier, Jr. of Afolkey and Dawn (Rick) Miller of Freeport; sisters, Joann Julius of Texas, Dee (Jerry) Edler of Freeport, Nancy (Randy) Baker of Freeport, Becky (Tom) Becker of Janesville, WI and Suzie (Martin) Keller of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Laverne Kuhlemeier of Freeport and Ricky Kuhlemeier of WI; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Ginger Lynne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in Afolkey Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Walker Mortuary. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
