Violet Bertha Brinkmeier, 81, of Freeport, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007, at her home.
Born September 28, 1926 in Freeport she was the daughter of Elmer and Elsie (Lutz) Bardell. She married Mervin "Pete" Brinkmeier September 1, 1945 in Freeport and he passed away January 30, 2005.
She worked for Burgess Battery, Structo, and Micro Switch.
Violet was a co-worker of Freeport Family Moose Center. She was a die hard Packer fan.
Surviving is one daughter Lori Brinkmeier of Freeport; six sons Gary (Sharon) Brinkmeier of Warren, David (Sue) Brinkmeier of Forreston, Virgil Brinkmeier of Rockford, Michael (Karen) Brinkmeier of Freeport, Ken (Sandy) Brinkmeier of Lena, and Jeff (Deb) Brinkmeier of Freeport; daughter in-law, Diana Brinkmeier of Freeport; 17 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and great- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Daniel; 1 sister; and 5 brothers.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 2 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Ron Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 12 noon until time of service at the Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name.
