Freeport: Virginia M. Adams 83, died Wednesday August 2, 2006 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born February 25, 1923 in Freeport she was the daughter of James F. and Mittie E. (Sinkhorn) Oswald. On July 13, 1968 she married Lowell Adams in Freeport and he preceded her in death in June of 1999. Virginia is survived by her daughter Linda Haas of Freeport, one son, James (Judy) Herbig of Mesa, AZ, one brother James R. Oswald of N. Carolina. two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeremy Herbig both of Mesa, Az. and two great grandchildren, Brianna and Jeremy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers and one sister. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Walker Mortuary with the Reverend Don Jamerson officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 A.m. until the time of service at Walker Mortuary. A memorial has been established in her name.
