Obituary

Madison: Virginia M. Jansen, 74 of Freeport died Tuesday August 9, 2005 at the University Hospital in Madison. Born March 16, 1931 in Freeport she was the daughter of Homer and Irma (Bowers) Stebbins. She worked for Micro Switch for over 30 years retiring in March of 1993. Virginia loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was an avid animal lover and reader of mysteries. Surviving is her son, Steven (friend Pamela Kusnierz) Jansen of Freeport, one daughter, Deborah (James) Hurless of Round Lake Beach, IL, two sisters, Joyce (Douglas) Wilkes of Fallon, Nevada, Shirley (John) Hand of Warsaw, Indiana, two brothers, James Stebbins of Freeport, Gary (Pat) Stebbins of Urbana, IL. Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and good friend Dewayne Harbach. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service and burial will be Friday 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Peace in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Chapel of Peace in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
