Virginia M. Rinehart, age 89 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Sunday, May 3, 2020. She was born January 5, 1931; the daughter of Thomas and Virginia (Long) Evanson. She married William Rinehart on December 15, 1951; he passed on July 9, 1994.

Virginia farmed along with her husband and raised her family. She was a member of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church of Freeport, IL. She volunteered at various organizations and especially enjoyed volunteering with the 1 ^st graders at Blackhawk School. Virginia enjoyed quilting and was a master gardener.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Rinehart of Edgerton, WI, Patricia Ortiz of Freeport, Diane (Scott) Wilhelms of Brookfield, WI, Theodore (Janice) Rinehart of Freeport, and William Rinehart, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and 3 sisters.

A private interment will take place at Wilwood Burial Park in Rockford, IL. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Mother Hubbard's Cupboard. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com .
