Virginia Ruth Schuster, age 86 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on Monday, February 15, 2021. She was born September 27, 1934 in Poygan Township, WI; the daughter of the late Anthony and Ruth (Smerling) Achterberg. Virginia married Warren Schuster on February 14, 1953.

She served as church secretary for several years in the early years of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church of Freeport. She was also homemaker, lovingly raising her family. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, the Christian Women's Club, and the ABWA where she was named Business Woman of the Year. Virginia loved crafts, gardening and arranging flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Schuster of Freeport; children, Gwen Schuster of Freeport, Teresa (Brad) Cummins of Freeport, and LeeAnn (Dave) Libby of Baileyville, IL; grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Visel, Aaron (Jess) Cummins, Josh (Nicole) Libby, Jenna (Shane) Werntz; great grandchildren: William & Walter Visel; soon to be baby Cummins; Lydia, Isaiah, Zach, & Eli Libby; Aaliyah, Oliver, & Noah Werntz; and 2 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
