Vivian E. Grenko, age 90 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Freeport. She was born October 15, 1932; the daughter of the late Donald and Opal (Hiteman) Wachlin.

She was a graduate of Freeport High School. Vivian worked at MicroSwitch and later retired from Newell Corp. She was a former member of Embury United Methodist Church of Freeport. Vivian was a resident at Meadow Ridge Apartments of LSSI. She was a very out-going person with a warm and friendly nature. She had a joyous outlook on life and made friends everywhere she went.

She is survived by her sister, Gwen Allen of Freeport and niece, Karen Barcellona of Los Angeles, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eleanor Thompson; and brother, Donald Wachlin.
