Obituary
Vivian L. Hurless, 83, of Durand, formerly of Freeport, died Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the Medina Nursing Center in Durand.
Born June 8, 1925 in New Hampton, IA she was the daughter of Everett and Gertrude (Matzke) Mills. She married Delmar Hurless February 6, 1946 in Red Oak.
Vivian was secretary of personnel at Newell Companies.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Delmar of Durand, daughters, Cathy (Mike McFarland) Hurless of Madison, WI and Nancy (Roger) Kramar of Durand; 4 grandchildren, Christopher (Tami) Buisker of Freeport, Toni Caravello of Madison, WI, Darci and Sarah Kramar of Durand; 1 great granddaughter, Aerile Smith of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church with Reverend Bruce Janes officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for Faith United Methodist Church and FACC.
