FREEPORT
Walter McLain Sr., 80, of Freeport died Saturday December 31, 2005 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born February 14, 1925 he was the son of Elmer and Pearl McLain. On April 15, 1967 he married Dixie Klenz in Freeport. He worked for Inter City Box and Plastics in Freeport for 27yrs.
Surviving is his loving wife of 38 years; 3 daughters Sandy (Michael) Hasken of Hanover, Cathy (Brian) Allen of Belleuve, IA, Dawn (Christopher) Johnsey of Freeport; 4 sons Walter (Jenie) McLain Jr. of Freeport, Jeffery (Linda) McLain of Freeport, Douglas (Pam) McLain of Beaver Dam, WI, David (Bethany) McLain of Detroit, MI; two sisters, three brothers; step mother Dorothy (Kenneth) McLain; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother Claude.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday 11:00am at the First Church of the Open Bible. Friends may call from 10 am until the time of the service at church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. Walker Mortuary is assisting family with the arrangements.
