Warren T. Reuber
Freeport - Warren T. Reuber died August 3, 2009 at the Stephenson Nursing Center. Born January 13, 1923, near Afolkey, Stephenson Co., IL, he was the son of Charles R. and Helen M. (Bartelt) Reuber. Warren attended Dakota High School. In 1942, he enrolled in an aircraft school in Chicago with his brother Clifford where upon graduation they worked at the Hayes-Ionia Aircraft Corporation in Grand Rapids, Michigan for one year building wings for bomber planes. The following year, Warren returned to IIllinois where he worked as a hired-hand on a dairy farm near Winslow.
