Wayne Lee Gordon, 77, of Freeport died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Freeport Rehab and Healthcare. Born January 31, 1935 in Albany, WI he was the son of Gilman and Susie (Thill) Gordon. On June 10, 1961 he and Arleta Rowe were united in marriage. Wayne worked construction and was a machine operator for Micro Switch. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Freeport. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Surviving is his wife of Freeport, one daughter Beth Gordon of Aurora, one son Brian (Melissa) Gordon of Homer Glen, two grandchildren Kelsey and Kaelyn Gordon; one brother Norman (Lois) Gordon of Darlington, WI; sister Mary Severson of Janesville, WI. Preceding him in death are his parents and one brother Lester.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4pm until 8pm at Walker Mortuary. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 am at Faith United Methodist Church, Freeport. Burial will be at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Freeport. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name for the Freeport Rehab and Monroe Hospice.
