Wayne A. Watz, 60, of Baileyville, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Born March 6, 1948 in Freeport he was the son of Philip A. and Nancy (Faxon) Watz. He married Barbara E. Hewins June 28, 1969.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Wayne worked at Honeywell in Freeport for 40 years and was presently employed at Wahl Clipper in Sterling.
An avid race car fan, Wayne loved the Rockford IceHogs, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara of Baileyville; 2 sons, Randy A. (Judith) Watz of Freeport and Jayson H. Watz of Baileyville; 2 sisters, Barbara Watz of Pontoon Beach and Jean Curtis of Rockford; 1 brother, John (Sharon) Watz of Alexandria, Louisiana; 3 grandchildren, Thomas Drane, Alexandria and Evan Watz; and Sadie his beloved Golden Retriever.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 brother, Donald Watz.
Funeral service will Saturday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary.
Visitation will be Saturday 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the Mortuary.
Burial will be in the Ladies Union Cemetery in Stockton.
