Raleigh, NC-Werner M. Wichmann, 87, of Raleigh, North Carolina, died Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Care Center in Freeport, Illinois
Born November 22, 1917 in Crete, Illinois he was the son of Theodore John and Alma (Harlof) Wichmann. He married Alice D. Diersen June 29, 1941.
He graduated from Concordia College in River Forest, Illinois.
Werner was a Lutheran School Teacher for over 35 years serving our Lord in Kansas, Chicago, and Michigan.
Surviving is his wife, Alice of Raleigh, NC; sons, Allan (Jennifer) Wichmann of Anaheim, CA, Gerald (Barbara) Wichmann of Raleigh, NC, James (Doris) Wichmann of Anaheim, CA, and John (Diane) Wichmann of Freeport; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; 2 sisters.
Visitation will be Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Spindler, Kelling, & Hirsch Funeral Home in Crete, Illinois.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Park Forest, Illinois.
Burial will be in the Trinity Church Cemetery in Crete, Illinois.
A memorial has been established for the Lutheran Hour Ministry.
