Wesley T. Cary, age 59 of Dakota, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019. He was born August 4, 1960; the son of the late William and Elaine (Last) Cary. He attended Dakota High School. Wesley was previously married to Randi Willhite, they were married on August 4, 1984.

He had worked for Honeywell for several years. He enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar. He is survived by his son, Shawn (Kaetlyn) Cary of Dubuque, IA; daughter, Amy (Koltyn) Reese of Scales Mound, IL; grandchildren, Kaylee and Emmett Reese; girlfriend, Sue Arnould of Oregon, IL; and brothers, Brandon Cary of Freeport, IL, Joe (Kris) Pottratz of Stevens Point, WI and Ron Pottratz of Pecatonica, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stan Cary; and sister, Candy Diestelmeier.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21 ^st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 22 ^nd at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Dakota Cemetery at a later date.
