Obituary

Freeport-William "Bill" O. Aden, 80, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 15, 2005, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born June 1, 1925 in Dongola he was the son of John and Lela (Highland) Aden. Bill and Wilma Schneider were married November 1, 1952 at First Lutheran Church in Chadwick. They moved to Scioto Mills in 1956 where Bill farmed a few years and then worked for Stephenson County Highway Dept. After that he went into business for himself and owned Aden's Excavating Snow removal and Lawn service until his retirement.
He was a member of Midwest Operating Engineers. His hobbies were working and helping his family. Bill liked to play cards and enjoyed going out to eat.
Surviving is his wife, Wilma of Freeport; daughter, Connie Aden of Lena; son, Ronald (LA) Aden of Freeport; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his special dog "Gizmo" who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lester Aden of Dongola; four sisters, Mary DeGarmor of Michigan, Levena, infant sister of Dongola, and Ellen Spurlock of Mt. Vernon.
Funeral service and entombment will be 3 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum with Chaplain Don Swanson officiating.
Visitation will be Monday 2 p.m. until time of service in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
