William H. Gorham, 87, of Freeport, died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Care Center. Born May 19, 1927 in Kingston, Illinois he was the son of George and Winifred (Blaine) Gorham. He married Edith Warner November 9, 1945. He was a World War II Army veteran. William worked for W.T. Rawleigh, Mays Drug, Journal Standard, Rockford Register Star and Aquamatic. Surviving are his wife, Edith of Freeport; children, Francis "Frank" (Sue) Gorham of Winnebago, Sherry (William) Boland of Highlandville, MO and Randy (Mary) Gorham of Freeport; sisters, Etta Vail of Phoenix, AZ and Olive Rosenke of Mayer, AZ; brother, Blaine (Barbara "Pinky") Gorham of Genoa, IL; five grandchildren; Brad Boland, Gilbert, AZ; Jeff (Roxy) Gorham Hammond, IN; Eric Gorham, Brett Gorham both of Freeport; Justin (Missy) Gorham Gresham, Oregon; four great grandchildren; Jayden, Kailee, Camrynn Gorham of Freeport and Alex Gorham of Hammond, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Walker Mortuary with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
