William "Bill" Hillman, age 78 of Rock City, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. He was born March 19, 1946; the son of the late Ralph and Doris (Niedermeier) Hillman. He married his high school love, Sylvia Suess on September 10, 1965 in Rock Grove, IL. Both graduated from Dakota High School in 1964.

Bill served in the United States Army from 1966-1967. His passion in life was John Deere tractors, his family farm and his Piper Colt. Together with his wife, Bill and children kept the generational family farm going from 1976 to the time of his death. His love for his family farm was deeply embedded in his life.

Surviving Bill are his wife, Sylvia; son, Scott (Missy) Hillman; daughter, Jennifer (Ray) Schuler; grandchildren, Bill's life's biggest prize: Logan & Brooke Schuler and Marilyn, Alison, & Danielle Hillman. Bill is also survived by Suess-in-laws, June (Tom) Kelly family; George (Tommie) Suess family; Harvey (Joann) Suess family; Dick (JoAnn) Suess family; and Jim (Shirley) Suess family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Doris Hillman; nephew, Kevin Kraft; sister, Shirley Kraft; and brother-in-law, Daniel Suess. Also, mother and father-in-law, Harold and Rosa Suess. He had a special devotion of love for his late Grandmother, Luella Niedermeier.

Per Bill's request, there will be no services. Burial will be at Eppleyanna Cemetery at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in his name to benefit the Tri-District Ambulance Service. Condolences may be shared with his family at www.walkermortuary.com.
