William Anthony Stout, age 79, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 19, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1945, to his loving parents, Joseph & Margaret (DiGiore) Stout. William led a life filled with passion, love, and joy. As a proud Vietnam War veteran, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, and his bravery and dedication to his country shaped the core of who he was.
William is survived by his devoted wife, Rose Victoria (Cicchetti) Stout; his sons, Joseph (Sherry) Stout and Marc Stout; his cherished grandchildren, Andrew Stout, Samantha Stout, Mia Stout, and River Stout; his brother, Joseph (Louann) Stout; his brother-in-law, Edward Svejda, and many cousins, extended family, and friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Known as 'Uncle Billy' to many nieces and nephews, he loved them dearly. William was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Stout, and his sister, Virginia (Stout) Parkin.
A lover of music and dancing, William's energy could light up any room. He was also a lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and his enthusiasm for the team was matched only by his love of life. Whether surrounded by family or friends, William always brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone he encountered.
He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life dinner will be held on April 28th, 6:30 p.m. at Chop'd 12337 S Illinois Rte 59 Suite #155 Plainfiled, Il 60585. Please RSVP by April 21st to: sjstout4@aol.com .
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, all monetary gifts shall be used to establish a memorial in Bill's name.
