Winifred L. Armagost, age 106 of Freeport, IL passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Manor Court in Freeport. She was born March 20, 1911 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Edgar W. and Elizabeth (Volkers) Apsinwall. She married Frederick A. Armagost on June 3, 1933; he died October 31, 2000. She attended one year of college and was a member of Embury United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Ronald G. Armagost of Rockford, Leon R. (Betty) Armagost of North Barrington, and Terry L. (Kathy) Armagost of Freeport; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 brother; and 2 sisters.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.
