Freeport: Janet Thruman, 75, of Freeport, died Sunday, November 4, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born October 26, 1932 in Freeport she was the daughter of Eugene and Bernice (Kraner) Lebrecht. On July 30, 1955 she married Donald Thruman. Janet was a home maker who loved cooking and taking care of her family. She was an avid reader and dog lover and she enjoyed working Cross word puzzles. Surviving are her daughters, Julie (Mike) Nelson and, Rebecca (Daniel) Zueger both of Freeport, and Toni (Thomas) Erickson of Davis; her sons, Mark (Wanda) Thruman of Augusta, GA. and Todd Thruman of Burbank, CA; 10 grandchildren; Nathan, Wes and Michelle Thruman, Abby, and Chris Farringer, Melissa, Makenzie and Alex Zueger, Megan and Lauren Erickson; one great grandchild, Cole Farringer and 5 Step grandchildren one sister Judy (Gary) Killough of Oklahoma and one Aunt, Ellen Bestes of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Kerry and one brother James Lebrecht. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Walker Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in her name.
