Justina Hermann
Owner/Funeral Director
Justina Hermann, a 5th generation funeral director who grew up working alongside her father at the Hermann
Funeral Homes. She has been a licensed funeral director since 2010 and serves families with the same dedication her family did
before her, and continues to do today. She began working part-time at Walker Mortuary in 2013 and purchased the business in
2017. Justina proudly and respectfully welcomes the call to serve the Freeport area by helping to carry-on the Walker and
Daughenabaugh name with the same care and compassion as those before her.

She believes everyone should be handled with the same dignity and respect she would give to a member of her own family. A belief that has been handed down through the generations of her family owned and operated funeral homes which were
founded in the Stockton area in 1900.
Justina currently resides in Stockton with her husband, Matt and their children, Grace & Layne.

Michelle M. (Niblo) Stubbe

Michelle came to work for Walkers in 1998 as a licensed Prearrangement Counselor. She exited the firm in 2011 for a short sabbatical and is now back with the Walker Family as of 2015. She graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2021 and is now serving as a full time funeral director for the Walker family.
Born and raised in the Freeport area she is now residing in Dakota where she and her husband have raised 3 children near her husband’s family farm. Michelle is available to meet with families regarding their final arrangements that they wish to plan in advance. Julia Hermann
Funeral Director
Julia, a 5th generation funeral director, has been a part of the Walker Family since 2016 when she began helping her sister, Justina. Starting January 1, 2019, she has become a full-time funeral director for Walker Mortuary and Daughenbaugh Funeral Home.
Julia graduated from Stockton High School with the class of 2013 and went on to attend Highland Community College of Freeport. She then received her degree in Mortuary Science from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL. Julia served her apprenticeship working alongside her father, Bill and sister, Justina at Hermann Funeral Home, which serves the Stockton, Shannon and Pearl City Communities. She is also currently working at Hermann Funeral Home and serves as a Deputy Coroner for Jo Daviess County.
Julia resides in rural Stockton with her husband, Brock and their Labrador retriever, Ace. They enjoy working on their farmette and spending time with their nieces and nephews. They both were raised working in their family businesses and are pleased to serve in their local communities.
Julia brings with her years of experience in the funeral profession and has been brought up with the same ideals and compassion that have been handed down through the generations of the Hermann Family since 1900. She looks forward to carrying on the traditions of diligent, honest and warmhearted care that our communities have come to know and expect over the last 119 years.

John is retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation after 32 years of setting the example as a dedicated public servant. He spends his free time with his wife Lori, chasing grandkids around and, attending sporting events.

Matt has been assisting with the day to day operations here at Walkers working alongside his wife, Justina since 2017. He became a licensed crematory operator in 2022. Matt is a graduate of Forreston High School and of Highland Community College.

Funeral Assistant
Knoll was born and raised in Freeport where he has worked in the funeral home and cemetery business for several years. In 2021, he began working at Walker’s full-time as a funeral assistant. He enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting.

Funeral Assistant
Pastor Parker retired from the First Church of the Open Bible in 2022. He then joined the Walker team as a part-time funeral assistant. When he is not working at Walker’s he travels all over the world helping those in need on mission trips.
